Model Predictive Control (MPC)
Optimizes a finite action sequence, executes an initial action, then replans from new observations
Why learn Model Predictive Control (MPC)?
It combines prediction, constraints, and continual feedback for practical control decisions.
The problem it solves
It chooses near-term actions while repeatedly incorporating what actually happened.
Where it came from
MPC repeatedly solves a constrained finite-horizon problem using a system model. Replanning provides feedback that can correct some disturbances and prediction errors, though poor models still limit performance.
